Dennis Swanson

Dennis Swanson, Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer of the Viacom Television Stations Group is a veteran television executive whose distinguished career includes leading flagship stations for NBC and ABC in addition to creating the “Oprah Winfrey Show.” He oversees the operations of the division’s 39 television stations. Swanson most recently served as President and General Manager of television station, WNBC New York, where he was named Broadcasting & Cable’s “Broadcaster of the Year.” Dennis was elected Chairman of the New York State Broadcasters Association in 2000-01.
