Philp R. Beuth

Phil Beuth was the first employee that Tom Murphy hired in 1955 for Capital Cities’ WTEN-TV. His entire career has been with this broadcast giant: managing three of the company’s television stations WSAZ-TV, West Virginia; KFSN-TV, California; and WKBW-TV, Buffalo, New York. When Cap Cities bought ABC in the mid-80’s Phil became President of the ABC Network’s Good Morning America, the number one morning program during that time. He was named New York State Broadcasters Association’s “Broadcaster of the Year” in 1979.
